Goodies Lifestyle: Our Favorite Leather Jacket

The Cuyama Jacket in Cognac

It's tough to find a Taylor Stitch piece that isn't amazing — so it's no surprise that the brand's Cuyama Jacket takes the prize for most buttery-smooth and beautiful. Built from a full-grain cowhide leather, this jacket develops a natural patina as it wears, becoming like a second skin over time.

On the interior, a cotton twill contrasts with the coats bold cognac color, while natural corozo buttons add a touch of monochromatic cool.

Under the collar and cuffs, a corduroy lining ensures neck and wrist comfort and hidden collar stay snaps keep it firmly in place.

The Cuyama Jacket is modeled after one of Taylor Stitch's lead designer Nick Kemp's luckiest secondhand shop finds. You know you can count on meticulous craftsmanship and some exceptional materials (just look at that leather) but it's the Cuyama's idiosyncrasies that really set it apart. Cellar door-style side-entry pockets, distinctive corduroy detailing throughout, and gorgeous corozo buttons give this jacket some completely unique character.

This gorgeous 4-oz cowhide leather features a spectacular pull-up that will emerge over time. Like a glass of fine cognac, it's at its best only after it's had a chance to mature.

The coat's refined styling, attention to detail, and enviable collar mean it can work well anywhere from the bar to the boardroom.
